Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each workshop or course has its own webpage on the CRI website. The link to apply for a specific course is available through the webpage for the course, usually it is a large button.

    Click the button on the course webpage and you will be taken to an application form. Complete and submit the application form to apply to register to take a CRI course or workshop. The application form does not process payments. Once your application is approved, you will receive an email with instructions explaining how to pay for the course.

  • To take an online course through CRI you must have a cell phone that can connect to the internet to use the University of New Brunswick login system that requires Multifactor Authentication. For more information about this system please visit https://www.unb.ca/its/mfa/index.html. You will also require access to a computer with an internet connect.

  • After your application form is submitted, the information is reviewed by CRI staff for completeness. We also check your sector information to make sure that you will be charged the correct fee. If we have any questions, we will email you; otherwise, your application will be approved, and you will receive an email explaining how to pay for the course. Application approval can take up to 5 business days.

  • After CRI approves your application form, you will receive an email with instructions detailing how to pay for the course. You must pay to access materials or attend a course or workshop. You are not considered enrolled, and your space is not reserved in the course until payment has been received.

  • If CRI rejects your application, you will receive an email explaining that your application was not approved and explaining the issue. You can resubmit the application form, making sure you fix the issue that caused the application to be rejected.

  • Please allow 5 business days for your application form to be reviewed and approved by CRI. Please double check your junk or spam email folder for the email from unbcricourses@unb.ca. If on the 6th business day after submitting your application, you have not received an email, please contact unbcricourses@unb.ca

  • You will not have access to online materials until you have paid, and your payment has been processed by the University of New Brunswick College of Extended Learning. After you submit payment, it can take 2-5 business days for the College of Extended Learning to process your payment. Once your payment has been processed by the College of Extended Learning you will receive an email from the University of New Brunswick College of Extended Learning with your login information.

  • You cannot pay for a CRI course until your application has been approved. Once approved, CRI course fees can be paid for by credit card, invoice, or cheque through the University of New Brunswick College of Extended Learning. The preferred method of payment is by credit card. You can contact the College of Extended Learning at extend@unb.ca or 506-453-4646 (Toll Free: 1-866-599-4646). The hours of operation are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Atlantic Time (UTC-04:00), Monday to Friday. For more information about UNB CEL please visit: https://www.unb.ca/cel/about/contact-us.html.

  • Your payment cannot be processed until your application has been approved by CRI. Once approved, payment by credit card is made by phone. Please call UNB’s College of Extended Learning at (506) 453-4646 or toll free at 1-866-599-4646 to pay. The office is open from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm Atlantic Time (UTC-04:00) Monday to Friday.

  • Your payment cannot be processed until your application has been approved by CRI. If you wish to be sent an invoice you must send the request on company or organization letterhead to extend@unb.ca. The invoice request must include:

    1. Name(s) of participant(s) taking the course who you are paying for.

    2. Name of the course you are paying for.

    3. The course fee for each participant.

    4. If more than one participant, the total fee for all participants (grand total, calculated by adding each participant’s fee)

  • There are two ways to get a detailed receipt. All students have access to the self serve portal (https://unbcloud.sharepoint.com/sites/MyUNB/SitePages/Services-for-Students.aspx) where you can find your receipt for tuition by selecting “Tutition” and then “View Your Statement”. If you cannot find your statement or have quesitons about your receipt please contact the University of New Brunswick College of Extended Learning at extend@unb.ca or via phone 506 453-4646 (Toll-free: 1-866-599-4646).

  • After you submit your payment to the University of New Brunswick College of Extended Learning it can take 2-5 business days for the payment to be processed. Once your payment is processed, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access online course materials. Please check your spam or junk folder from this email from extend@unb.ca. If on the 6th business day after submitting payment you have not received an email from the College of Extended Learning with login instructions, please contact extend@unb.ca.

  • The content in D2L is configured for each student by CRI after your payment has successfully be processed by the College of Extended Learning. It can take 2 business days to configure the online system for each student. If on the 3rd business day after receiving your welcome letter, you still do not have access to the required materials in D2L, please contact unbcricourses@unb.ca.
